The Experience

Prepare for the Journey of a lifetime, high up into the Oaxacan Sierra del Madre Mountains, to the Birthplace of famed Curandera, Maria Sabina.

We will pay our respects to the lands where the World remembered the healing power of psychedelic mushrooms by making offerings.

We will be walking an ancient pilgrims path from Teotitlán to a Hill sacred to the Mazatec peoples for millennia.

You will feel the power of pilgrimage, experiencing first hand the honouring of the land while also making a group prayer for the healing of the masculine & feminine on the Planet.

The Inspiration

The inspiration for this Pilgrimage was born as a desire to give back to a culture that has given so much to the World, To build an alliance with the Indigenous & create a future of Unity for all.

Alejandrina embodies an animistic Worldview.

A non-hierarchical & inclusive relationship of nature, Spirit & Man.

It is our belief that direct experience of & learning from this way of being will create the inner transformation needed to help us move forward in a good way at this time of massive change.

An aspect of the Unity we will be praying for is the healing of the masculine & the feminine. You will learn the Mazatec beliefs relating to the importance of this at this time.

Core Pillars

The Opportunity

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to commune with Teonanactl, the healing mushrooms, in a way traditional to the Mazatec. The Velada – a candlelit nighttime vigil.

To take the time to disconnect from modernity for a whole week, with a group of like minded Souls, surrounded by the majesty of the moutains & waterfalls… is deep Medicine.

We will have time to contemplate & hold good intentions for ourselves while also holding a vision for the collective healing of all humans.

Please note that this Pilgrimage is not for the faint of heart. This will be a rustic affair without the usual comforts at home. Strap in and bring a strong intention to carry you through.

Facilitators

Dra. Alejandrina Pedro Castañea

Alejandrina is a Medicine Woman who was called to work with the Mushrooms from a young age.

Born in the Town of Huatla De Jiménez, she left her family, moving into the local countryside vowing to live closer to nature.

Connecting to the wind, speaking to the Waterfalls & healing with mushrooms.

She received the message from the mushrooms early on that she was not to have children but to look after those children who have no parents.

1/3 of the proceeds of this retreat will go towards her blossoming orphanage that is currently under construction in Huatla.

Dr Alex Pardhy MD

Alex is a Ex Medic with 10 years of experience in both allopathic and Alternative healing modalities.

She practiced as a Emergency Medicine Physician for 6 years before studying health coaching, shamanism and other forms of alternative healing.

Alex mentors Leaders in times of transition, working with those who are integrating the rational with more intuitive ways of meaning-making.

Working with the Mushrooms led Alex to seeking out Elders to guide her practice. Finding Alejandrina she quickly knew she had found a Woman and a cause to get behind while also ensuring reciprocity in her own healing business.

Support Team

Chris Adeyoka and Maggie Morgan are shamanic practitioners, integration coaches and medicine musicians who have worked alongside each other since the beginning of their own relationship.

Their practice as space holders has developed from studying and working with various shamanic traditions and lineages, aswell as background study in psychology, CBT and counselling.

They have shared their healing work, retreats and music internationally and call their project “Hieros Gamos” which comes from Ancient Greek meaning the sacred union of God and Goddess. They endeavour to bring this energy within all the spaces they work in; expressing a balance of sacred masculine and feminine energies within their altar.
